Friendly Competition
Whilst we run an active racing events programme, the ethos is more about fun and participation than out and out winning. We, of course, take it seriously but the core principle of respecting each other’s boats and doing the 'right thing' is absolutely engrained in our club principles.
Club 500 Club 500 racing boats are cheap and cheerful little boats, offering great value for money and even more fun. Being a highly restricted class with no modifications from one boat to another, racing is close and is all down to the skill of the driver. |
IOM The well-known International One Metre racing yacht needs no introduction. Races are held regularly (weather permitting) with 3 races per date. With tricky wind patterns and a strong current, the more practice you have, the better your chances. |
