The club was formed in 1996 by a small band of sailors who wanted to form a club whose main purpose was an informal and friendly environment in which to pursue their hobby.  On this basis the club has grown into a large and successful group with many of our modellers exhibiting at prestigious shows around the country.

The range of models sailed represents a wide cross section, from fast Marblehead and Metre racing yachts through to fast electric club 500 boats, intricate scale boats powered by electric or steam to the stealth of submarines.

Whatever your interest you can be assured of plenty of help and advice to help you on your chosen project. We sail  all year round on Sunday and Thursday mornings from about 9.30 to 1.00pm also at may other events both at the park and around the country. The membership fees are £12.50  for full members and £6 for junior members. This fee includes the very important Third Party Insurance cover, which is a requirement for sailing in the public domain.
